One of our first consumer product projects was to design and iterate a custom watch case. To start, all we had was the blueprint of the Miyota 8N24 mechanical skeleton watch movement that was desired for the heart of the project. The case was designed around the movement.

Two fixtures were fabricated for the CNC machining operations. CAD design and iteration was performed in OnShape. 3D printing of test models was performed using Prusa 3D printers and the Prusa Slicer. CNC programming/CAM was performed in Mastercam. CNC machining was performed on a Haas TM 1P Toolroom Mill.

Revision 1 was fabricated out of brass. Revision 2 was fabricated out of 6061 aluminum.
